Week of Service!

So this week was crazy. We had a lot of random stuff happen that made the week go by way too fast. We had P-day last week and we went down to Green Bay for the day so we could play sports and stuff with other missionaries. So that was super fun, and then we came back. We were supposed to go down to Green Bay again on Tuesday but there was a ton of freezing rain Monday night so we weren't supposed to leave the apartment until 3 on Tuesday... So our meeting in GB got moved to Thursday. But we were asked to help move in a new member on Tuesday afternoon so we broke the rule to go help... oops! But it was super funny because we were moving them and the U-Haul truck got stuck in the ice!! So it took us like 2 hours to just get the truck unstuck.... that was fun! So then our whole day was pretty much gone. Then the next day we went and visited some less active members of the branch with Bro. Rice and then ended up helping some one move from that too! Then on Friday we did service at the Food Pantry because we had already set it up. And on top of that we had exchanges with the Hmong Elders so we were super busy the whole week! It was awesome!

We had a pretty cool experience on exchanges when I was with Elder Lamb. So we had done a lot of trying to contact potential investigators and nobody was home. So then we decided to go into Menominee to tract. We started with a prayer and then just tried to listen to the spirit as to where we should go. So we decide on this street and then even more specifically a house. That first house we knocked on was "in the middle of getting a new family member", but they told us to come back tomorrow. So we were able to go back and share with them the message of the Restoration! It was super cool! They are excited about the Gospel too, so I am super pumped for them!

Miracles happen! The work goes forward! I hope you all have a great week!

Branch Conference!

So this week was another pretty good one here in Marinette! We did a lot of knocking doors, and have a good amount of potential that is coming from it! The highlight of the week was yesterday we had branch conference! The stake president and all the stake people were here and the spirit was super strong! I love the spirit that we feel every week in church, but there was something extra there this week! Our branch president shared a really cool experience about how everyone is worth it. He was at Disney on Ice in Green Bay and Minnie mouse said "Wow, we really are in the presence of royalty." And he shared how much that impacted him because everyone is royal no matter what they look like or what they are. There is a lot of things we could try to look at to say that someone isn't doing something right, but it doesn't matter, they are sons and daughters of God and have the potential to become like Him. That was a good reminder for me that there is nothing more important than where we came from, and who we can become. Don't forget that you are important to God, and He has an infinite love for you!

So we had a little bit of a miracle with a less active member this week! We knocked on her door at night one night, and she told us we could come back. She is next door neighbors with an active family of the branch. So we asked the father of the active family to come with us, and he was like, "She said you could come back?!?!?" And we were like "Yeah?" He then told us about how no missionaries have ever been able to get in with them. But we did and were able to teach a pretty good lesson to her. So that was really cool, and we will see if she comes back to church this next week!

Thanks for all your prayers! Love ya all!

Transfer #3 with Elder Record!!

Well this week was super fun! We had exchanges with our zone leaders on Wednesday and Thursday. So Elder Cox was here with me, and Elder Record went back to our old area in Green Bay! So this week went by really fast! Especially since P-Day was on a Tuesday last week, but it has been good! It was a little colder again, but nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year here. We had fast and testimony meeting this last Sunday because Stake Conference was last week so chuch was good yesterday! We actually had an investigator at church that we totally didn't expect to come! So it was really fun to see him there!

Then we have transfers this week, but Elder Record and I are staying in the area for another transfer! I am pretty excited to continue the work here in Marinette and keep moving forward! So basically we had a ton of random stuff this week. We did a lot of tracting like always, but it is still good! We have started to teach a lot of lessons right as we knock into peoples doors, and it has been really cool!

So here is a bit of a spiritual thought for ya:
In Alma 36, Alma the younger is describing his experience of conversion, and he talks about the pain and agony he was feeling before he had repented, and after he had repented he describes the joy as more exceeding than the pain. I know that Christ can have that effect on each of us, he knows how we feel all the time, and he is always there to help, all we have to do is reach out.

I hope you all had a great week, and have another great one!

MISSION TOUR!!

Sorry I am a day late today, we had what we call mission tour yesterday! We had a general authority come to our mission to tour it. So three of the six zones were all in Green Bay yesterday to listen to President Williams and Elder K. Brett Nattress of the 70! It was one of the most spiritual days of my entire life. It was amazing. So there is a lot that happened this week, that being one of them. It was cool. We also had a couple pretty cool experiences. We had interviews with President Williams last week as well, so it has been a crazy couple weeks! So there is a lot to talk about, but one cool experience we had while tracting. We usually don't get let in right away, but our focus has switched to trying to get in and teach people for 5 or 10 minutes right there when we knock on the door. So we got into this guys house, and we were able to teach and testify of the Restoration and the spirit was super strong and he said he would read the Book of Mormon! He is going to be gone for 2 weeks because of work, but we are super pumped for him!!

Here is a bit of some scripture for ya:
In 3 Nephi chapter 18 we read: "And whatsoever ye shall ask the father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be given you"
Christ is teaching the people that we must pray, and be close to him at all times. So don't be afraid to get down on your knees and ask. He WILL help you, but He is always there and willing to help. So do it! I know it works, I have seen it over and over.
I love you all!

His testimony he shared with us this week in a separate email:
I am grateful for the opportunity I have to represent the Savior everyday, and I am so thankful for Him and everything He has done for me, you, and all of the world. If there wasn't anything else that I knew, the fact that God lives, and loves me enough to sacrifice his son for me is enough. I know that God lives, I know that Jesus Christ suffered for me, individually. He makes it possible for me. I love the words of "I Stand All Amazed". They say it better than I ever could, "Oh, it is wonderful, that he should care for me enough to die for me" I am so thankful for the chance I have to bear a witness of that to others everyday. I love Jesus Christ, and I love all that he has done for me. I am amazed at everything I have done wrong sometimes, but He has always done more for me. There is nothing I could do to pay him back, but I am doing what I can. Sharing His Gospel with the people of the Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission is something amazing. I love it.
